Four Mile Sandstone Pty Ltd was established in 2004 by Brett and Jodie Johnson. Based at Gunalda (20 minutes north of Gympie, Queensland) they supply Sandstone products to South-East Queensland; from Brisbane all the way through to Bundaberg.

Operating out of a quary of approximately 5 acres, they offer a large volume of raw products to their customers including crushed rock, tumbled rock, pitching rock and boulders of all shapes and sizes.

The story of how Four Mile Sandstone came about is an interesting one. Brett and Jody Johnson carried out a number of contract opperations around the area however continued to run into the problem of not being able to work in the wet times. After exploring a number of options to keep their employees busy during the wet periods, they toyed with the idea of selling sandstone. From that small experiment they have not looked back as the business has continuously grown. Four Mile Sandstone, or 'Gympie Sandstone' as it is sometimes known, supplies much of the Sandstone used in commercial and DIY operations throughout South-East Queensland.
